the report card. October 2008 Dear Parents/Guardians: The 2008 School Report Card, as prepared by the Illinois State Board of Education, is now available for your review on our district’s web page. You may access our web page at www.skokie68.org. Once you are on the site, you will be directed to links that will open the School Report Card. You may choose a district summary or any of the individual school reports. A printed copy of the reports may also be sent to you upon request. Please contact Mrs. Sue Neyrinck in the Superintendent’s Office at 847-676-9000 to request a printed copy. The achievement scores on the School Report Card reflect how well our students are meeting the Illinois Learning Standards. These standards are assessed by the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT), which is administered annually to students in grades 3 through 8. You will also see some differences between the grades. Achievement scores between grade levels will vary from year to year because each grade has a unique group of students. Please be assured that our Board of Education, our administrative staff, and our faculty and staff are committed to closing the achievement gap among our diverse groups of students. While the vast majority of our students meet or exceed state standards in all content areas assessed by the ISAT, we will continue to diligently pursue new ways to address the learning needs of all our students. Skokie School District 68 is dedicated to providing all students with the educational foundation necessary to succeed in school and in life. Sincerely, |
