From August 6 through August 15, shoppers in Illinois will not pay state sales tax for specific, qualifying school supply items under $100, including clothing.  Shoppers will still pay county taxes, however, resulting in a savings of 5 cents per $1.00 spent.  A list of qualifying items is attached.  See supply lists under "Parent/Student Info."
