Skokie 68 Announces iPads for 2nd Grade Students

Parents and Guardians:

Skokie 68 is committed to transforming learning through our TLi68 initiative.  Last year we began our 1:1 iPad program by issuing iPads to all 3rd-8th grades students, while students in PK-2nd grade had sets of iPads in the classroom.  This year we are pleased to announce that we are extending our 1:1 program to include 2nd grade which allows our 2nd graders the opportunity to be part of the 1:1 program.

At the start of the year, 2nd grade students will be issued iPad minis that will remain in the classroom and will not go home with students.  This stay-at -school model will provide a foundation for our students to build upon as digital citizens and digital learners and allow students to work in ways they were not able to with group sets of iPads.

Your child's teacher will  provide additional information as the school year progresses and we invite you to attend open house on September 1st to see the iPad minis in the classroom.

Please contact Nancy Battaglia, Director of Technology, nbattaglia@skokie68.org if you have any questions.
