Welcome to the Department for Curriculum and Instruction

Teaching and learning in District 68 is designed to provide all students with a rigorous and relevant curriculum to ensure we are preparing them for success in our rapidly changing world. The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is committed to providing educators with the tools and resources they need to positively impact student learning. We are also committed to working in partnership with parents and staff members to review our curriculum and instructional practices in a systematic way using the learning team format, to keep up to date on best practices.

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction supports all aspects of the instructional program including curriculum, instruction, professional development,  and assessment. In collaboration with the Building Administrators, Instructional Support Team members, and other teacher leaders, our mission is to provide an exemplary program of instruction for students that contributes to the development of the “whole child.”
