MTSS
Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
In Skokie School District 68, the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is how we make sure every child gets the right help at the right time so they can succeed in school. All students start with strong classroom teaching and support (Tier 1). If a student needs a little more help, they may receive small-group instruction or extra practice (Tier 2). For students who need even more support, we provide individualized, intensive help (Tier 3). Teachers, specialists, and families work together, using data about each child’s progress to guide decisions and adjust supports. MTSS helps us create a learning environment where every child is included, challenged, and supported to grow both academically and socially.
