Mission Moment

Four children and a dog sit together on a carpeted floor, with the dog resting on a pillow.

Meri comes to Highland each week and students are able to visit with her under the supervision of Mrs. Weissenberg and a Skokie Police department officer.

HIGHLANDPALOOZA TIME !!

Highlandpalooza is just a few short months away, so we are kicking off planning now to make sure the event is a success! We need your help! We are forming planning committees for all aspects of the event.  CLICK HERE FOR INFORMATION ON COMMITTEES AND SIGNING UP to help. We have divided the responsibilities into manageable groups so the lift is not too great.

For those of you who are new or unfamiliar, Highlandpalooza is our big carnival and fundraiser help near the end of the school year. It includes a carnival with activities, entertainment and food, as well as a silent auction to help us raise money for the event and PTA activities throughout the year.

We cannot do this without strong parent participation and support. The more help we get the better Highlandpalooza will be!

DOMINOS SLICE THE PRICE CARD FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT HIGHLANDPALOOZA

The PTA is hosting a fundraiser through Dominos Pizza to raise money for Highlandpalooza, our big end of year carnival.  We are selling cards that allow the card holder to purchase one pizza and get one free every time they use the card until it expires at the end of 2026. In other words, if you buy 10 pizzas, you get 10 pizzas free!.

The PTA receives a portion of the sales and students earn prizes for the cards they sell. Last year this was a great fundraiser for Highlandpalooza, which allowed us to have the inflatable obstacle course. The more we raise, the more fun we can have at Highlandpalooza!

Flyer/order form about the fundraiser were sent home with students.

CLICK HERE to register your child and find out more about how the fundraiser works.  We appreciate your support!

Scholastic Book Fair

The Highland PTA is proudly hosting the Scholastic Book Fair on Feb 13th, Thursday and Feb 19th, during Parent Teacher Conferences.

We invite Highland families and friends to come check out the book fair and support our Highland library and classroom libraries. A percentage of purchases made during the fair will go straight back to the Highland library.

Another way Highland families can support is by donating funds directly to the Highland Library eWallet account. https://shop.scholastic.com/ewallet/fund?lang=en_US&walletId=520dfc23-cd37-414a-9de6-879c289c2941
This will give Mrs. Talbert, Highland’s librarian, another option to fill the school’s library with more books and resources.

We are always in need of volunteers. Please consider volunteering for a 15 minute time slot to help customers with their book fair transactions.
