~Bulldog Announcements~

Robotics Competition: Will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12th from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Fairview.  Make sure you have a signed permission slip!  Also Robotics club will meet after school on Thursday.

Attention 8th Graders: Information that has been mailed out and is available  to view on the Old Orchard website under the News section. If you have any questions regarding graduation, please contact Ms. Johnson in the Main Office.
Graduation Picture Retake Day: Graduation Picture Retake day will be held this Friday, February 21, 2019.
Graduation Gowns:The completed form and check should be returned to your first period teacher no later than Friday, January 25th.  Please return all three copies of the order form.
Students may wear the gown of an older sibling or other former OOJH graduate.  If you plan to borrow a gown, it is important that you:
  1. inform Ms. Johnson in the Main Office by email at sjohnson@skokie68.org    or by written note from parent
  2. measure the length of the gown to make sure of proper fit.
8th Grade Graduation – May 30, 2019: Please be sure to mark Thursday, May 30th on your calendar for our 8th grade graduation.  The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at Niles West High School.  It is tradition that the PTA sponsors a reception immediately following the ceremony at OOJH. More information on the graduation ceremony will be mailed home this spring.
Yearbook: Students don’t forget to order your school yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year. The cost is $17.00 and you can order online at jostensyearbook.com or by clicking on the banner at the top of the Daily Announcements page! Ms. Johnson also has forms in the Main Office too! All orders are due by December 21, 2018. Be Ready!
Student Id’s: Students with their IDs will be able to buy their lunches first.  Students without their IDs will be asked to go to the end of the line since it will be a slower process requiring the cafeteria staff to look up your name and ID numbers. Students, you are supposed to have your school ID to scan if you are buying lunch.
We are experiencing longer wait times to  buy food due to the large number of students that are not bringing their IDs.  New IDs can be purchased for $5 in the Main Office. Please see Ms. Johnson first thing in the morning with your payment if you need to purchase a new ID. It will be ready for you by lunch time.
Attention All Students: Students need to cross at the stoplight at Gross Point and Kenton if they would like to go to Culvers. It is very dangerous to cross in the middle of Gross Point without a stoplight and crosswalk.
Have a Pass? All students that come into the Main Office will need to have a pass. If you do not have a pass, you will be sent back to get one. Be Ready!
