~From the School Nurse~

Dear Parents and Guardians,

If your child is planning on participating in a sport, they will need to have current physical on file. If you are unsure about the status of your child's health forms, please contact the school nurse at 847-568-7508.

All forms can be found at:  http://www.skokie68.org/special-services/health-services

~Bulldog School Announcements~

French Club:  Will meet on the following dates in room 107 on Thursdays after school from 3:30 p.m. to 4:20 p.m.: December 19th, January 16th, February 13th, March 12th, and April 16th.

Yearbook: Early bird yearbook pricing is $19 until December 20th. After December 20th, the price increases to $20. You can order online (visit OOJH website) or with a hardcopy form (available in the main office).

LMC:  Hour of Code Week 12/9-12/15

This is a list of some Hour of Code activities for students. If you complete any, you can show an adult your "certificate" of completion to be eligible for a badge and a small prize from the LMC. This is a GREAT way for students to spend study hall if you don't have work to complete. You can also do the activities at home!

Action Book Club is starting again!  This winter, participating sixth and seventh graders at East Prairie, McCracken, and Old Orchard Junior High will be reading The Bridge Home by Padma Venkatraman. Librarians from Skokie Public Library will visit each school for a couple of lunchtime book discussions and a service project benefiting Bears of Hope, a Skokie nonprofit whose volunteers make handmade fabric bears for children and adults facing a difficult life challenge. Let the LMC or your reading teacher know if you are interested in participating by Winter Break so we can order the correct number of books.

Battle of the Books: The next Battle of the Books meeting will be Friday, January 10th after school in the LMC.

Main Office: All students must have a pass to come to the Main Office, Sensory Room or the School Nurse. If you do not have a pass, you will be sent to get one.

Student Id’s: Should be placed in the back of student iPads (under the case) and left there. Students will need their ids for library use and the cafeteria for purchasing breakfast and/or lunch.

Winter Break : Students Winter Break is only one week away. Please make sure that you have your locker cleaned out of any food. You do not want to come back to a “stinky” locker!

Lost & Found: Please check the lost and found before you leave for winter break. Any items not claimed will be donated to charity!

Attention All Students: Students need to cross at the stoplight at Gross Point and Kenton if they would like to go to Culvers. It is very dangerous to cross in the middle of Gross Point without a stoplight and crosswalk.
