8th Grade Graduation Pictures:

Hybrid 2B / 8th Grade students were handed either a picture package (pre-ordered) or a picture order card when they left school today.

Please review your student’s picture package and/or picture card to see if you would like your child to retake their school photo. If so, please contact Ms. Johnson in the Main Office at sjohnson@skokie68.org  and she will schedule your student for a retake photo on Thursday, April 22nd.

Students in Hybrid 2A will receive their picture package or picture card on Tuesday, April 13th.

Parents who have students that are remote, you will receive a separate email with information to pick up your picture package and/or picture card.

You may still order your student’s photo online, just enter the code that your child has been given.

8th Grade Graduation Ceremony:

Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 27, 2021 for the 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony. We are currently working on the final touches for this celebration! More information to come in the next couple of weeks!

Yearbook:

It’s time to order your students 2020-2021 school yearbook at jostensyearbook.com/

This yearbook will be unique as this has been a unique year!

The cost of the yearbook is $20.00 and must be paid online. You will have until April 23, 2021 to order!

Yearbook Photo Submission:

  • Only 6th and 7th Grade students will need to submit a photo for their yearbook picture. Please see the photo submission flyer below to upload your child’s photo. Here are some helpful tips to submit a yearbook photo.

Some tips to make sure you get a good picture:

  • If you are using an iPhone please make sure to use the correct image format (JPG not the Apple HEIC compressed file). Under iPhone Settings to Camera, tap Formats and select Most Compatible before taking the portrait.

  • Use white or natural lighting.

  • Solid/quiet background with no props or other people.

  • Keep camera at eye level.

  • Take photo vertically.

  • Photo mid chest up (no hand in photo).

  • Lighting facing you, not behind you.

  • Click here for example of photos

Please Note: 8th Grade graduation pictures will be used for their yearbook photo.  You will not need to upload a photo for this. (Candid photo submission only. See below).

Photo Submission:

The yearbook staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook memory pages. If you’ve got great photos of school, community events, you with your friends, pets or just having fun, we’d like to see them!

Please see the attached flyer for Jostens link information. Flyer

Attention All Students

Students need to cross at the stoplight at Gross Point and Kenton if they would like to go to Culvers.

It is very dangerous to cross in the middle of Gross Point without a stoplight and crosswalk.

~ School Nurse ~

As a reminder, if you have a student that will be starting in-person learning, they must be in health compliance before they can come back to an in-person setting. This means: 6th graders must have a current physical, updated immunizations and dental on file with the school nurse. Students that transferred into 7th or 8th grade from a different district this year, must also have medical forms turned in to the health office. If you are unsure of your child's health compliance, please contact the school nurse - Andreea Balici - at ibalici@skokie68.org or at 847-568-7504.  Thank you.
