Principal's Message

November is a busy month of learning at Jane Stenson! Throughout our classrooms, students are exploring new ideas, building their skills, and learning alongside their classmates. We look forward to a month filled with curiosity, collaboration, and growth. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

Warm Regards,

Dr. Huemmer

Lockdown Drill

Our school will hold a lockdown drill on November 19. Practicing helps students and staff become familiar with our safety procedures so they can respond calmly and confidently in an emergency. Families who wish to opt their child out of the drill may do so by completing the Curriculum Objection Form and submitting it by November 18.

Attendance Turkey Trot

We are hosting a grade level attendance competition for the month of November: Turkey Trot To Your Spot! The turkey will move faster around the course, the fewer the tardies to school! Grade levels will compete to have the fewest tardies to school. So be on time to reach the finish line to earn outside time with Leo!

Cold Weather Clothing

As colder weather arrives, please send your child with a warm coat, hat, and mittens each day. When snow is on the ground, students need snow boots and snow pants to play in the snow. We have outdoor recess when the temperature, including wind chill, is 15°F or higher and indoor recess when it falls below 15°F. If your family needs assistance with cold-weather clothing, please let your child’s teacher know. Thank you for helping our students stay warm and ready for recess!
